Tamaulipas: 32 kidnapped migrants to receive Humanitarian Visitor Cards from INM
On Thursday, January 4th, INM announced through a statement on its social media platforms that the 32 kidnapped migrants in Tamaulipas will receive Humanitarian Visitor Cards.
This decision comes after the migrants were declared victims of crime by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Tamaulipas.
INM detailed that with the delivery of the cards, the 32 individuals will have access to public services, in order to guarantee their human right to have an identity and integrate into the social life of the country.
For this reason, the agency requested the joint support of CNDH to monitor the procedures and the proper delivery of cards to the migrants.
Furthermore, it also requested support from the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF), as among the migrants there are 9 minors and some families who will require assistance.
